Technical Staff

Alison has been with Deepwood for over ten years. She is one of our dual Large Animal/Equine and Small Animal technicians, so you might see her in the clinic or on the road. As Lead Technician of our Large Animal/Equine Department, she also handles a significant portion of the management of the large animal side of our practice.

Bobbi is one of the newest members of the Deepwood team, and we are excited to have her! She has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for over 30 years. In her free time, Bobbi enjoys spending time with her two birds, ten cats, two dogs, and several grandchildren.

Casey is one of the backbones of our clinic. She is a much-beloved Lodging Caretaker who knows the ins and outs of our regular boarders' needs, and she also works as a Veterinary Assistant and Technician Assistant. Casey's calm demeanor is a perfect match to her quick, dry wit.

Ellen is our primary surgical/anesthesia technician, caring for surgery and dental patients every step of the way through their procedures.

Joyce has worked in the veterinary field since 1970, and is a Licensed Veterinary Technician in both New Jersey and Virginia. She has particular interests in dentistry, anesthesia, exotics, and animal behavior. Joyce shares her household with three dogs, two guinea pigs, two hedgehogs and multiple tarantulas and scorpions.

At home, Kaiti has four dogs, two cats, two horses, four goats, a guinea pig, and a gecko. In her spare time, she attends horse shows, and participates in 4-H and Girl Scout events with her three kids.

Kalyn joined Deepwood in the summer of 2014. In addition to working as a Veterinary Assistant, she fills in as a Hospital Services Representative and as a Lodging Caretaker when needed. Kalyn is especially interested in the pathophysiology (the how and why) of various disease processes. In her spare time, she enjoys films and travel.

Rosanna is one of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians. She graduated from the NOVA Veterinary Technology program in 2011, and earned her certification shortly thereafter. She has worked in the veterinary field for the past nine years. She has her share of "fur-kids", and hopes to one day further her knowledge in animal behavior.

Rosanna can always be counted on for her sense of humor and willingness to smile - she can find the humor in nearly any situation!

Lodging Caretakers

Deepwood Staff Images 2014 (24)

Our caretaker team works incredibly hard to make sure that your pet’s boarding stay with us is as pleasant and stress-free as possible! If you’d like to see where your pet will be housed during their stay, just let a caretaker know and they’ll take you on a tour.

Our caretakers will also gladly give you an update if you would like to call and check in on your pet(s) while you are away from home.

Colleen is our Lodging Services Coordinator, overseeing all aspects of care for our boarding patients. She gets to know each and every one of our regulars, and is often the first one to greet them when they walk through the clinic doors. She also becomes familiar with each pet’s likes, dislikes, and behaviors, and any abnormalities noted are quickly brought to the attention of our medical staff.

If you have any questions about boarding your pet, just ask – Colleen will be happy to help!
