Holistic Care & Pain Management

We recognize that the issue of pain management is of great concern to pet owners today. As with human medicine, there are a wide range of therapeutic options available to manage a pet’s pain. These include a variety of medications and care options including acupuncture, cold laser therapy, massage, and physical rehabilitation. Using multi-modal treatment we can manage chronic pain, as well as post-operative pain and pain due to trauma or acute injury. Our doctors, as well as our licensed technicians and veterinary assistants, would be happy to discuss all the options available to you and your pet under any and all circumstances.

Cold Laser

With no sedation, and minimal restraint required, this non-invasive therapy is an experience that is usually pleasant and non-stressful for your pet. Cold laser therapy is painless and only lasts 10-15 minutes.

Cold laser systems emit infrared light that penetrates deep into the skin and stimulates the tissues at a cellular level to promote healing and tissue repair. It also stimulates the release of the body’s natural pain killing and anti-inflammatory chemicals to facilitate pain relief and decrease inflammation.

Acupuncture

Back pain, paralysis, hip dysplasia, neck pain, allergies, skin conditions, immune mediated diseases, seizures, kidney disease, liver disease, and behavioral issues can all be helped with Acupuncture.

Acupuncture can be performed with fine needles that don’t hurt a bit, with injections of vitamin B-12 into the points, or by sending mild electrical currents through the selected points.
