In-House Pharmacy

We’re proud to be able to offer our clients our own comprehensive pharmacy, where you can order and promptly pick up your pet’s prescriptions.  We carry a broad selection of medical treatments and preventative care options, in addition to nutritional supplements and prescription diets. For your convenience, prescriptions can be filled during your pet’s regular check-ups.

We strive to refill all medications as soon as possible, but as many refills require a doctor’s approval, please be aware that it make take up to 24 hours.  One of our technicians or veterinary assistants will call you as soon as the prescription is ready for pickup.

Online Pharmacy

For your additional convenience, we also have own online pharmacy available, which stocks a wide variety of medications, preventative treatments, and prescription diets at competitive prices. These products come directly from manufacturers and licensed distributors. All products in the pharmacy can be easily ordered and will ship directly to your doorstep!

We recognize that the Internet offers a wide variety of options advertising “newer, cheaper, better” things. Please read this blog post about why shopping through us is safer, for you and your pet.

Imaging Services

A thorough, detailed physical examination gives your veterinarian a detailed view of the outside of your pet, but in some instances, an interior view is also needed. We offer multiple on-site imaging services:

Digital radiology and abdominal ultrasound allow us to see inside, to visualize their skeleton and internal organs. These tests are not only useful, but are safe, painless, and non-invasive. Below are our in-house Imaging services:

Digital X-Ray

We are pleased to be able to offer you and your pet digital radiography. This is similar to traditional X-ray technology, but allows for much higher resolution and better-quality images. Digital X-Rays are used to diagnose and confirm broken bones, arthritis, hip dysplasia, and other bone abnormalities. In the vast majority of cases, radiographs can be performed in pets without sedation. However, sedation may be necessary in extremely anxious or painful animals, or if certain specific diagnostic-quality films (OFA for hips) are required.

Since the films are stored electronically instead of on a physical film, they can be easily emailed or transferred to CD, in the event that you would like a copy of your pet’s images or require referral to a specialist.

Ultrasound

The availability of thoracic (chest) and abdominal ultrasound has made it possible for us to diagnose and treat diseases more quickly and effectively. Ultrasound is employed for a wide variety of uses, from collecting sterile urine samples to evaluating a pet for bladder stones, to localizing tumors in the liver or spleen, to finding and removing abnormal fluid in the chest or abdominal cavity.

In certain instances, your pet may be in need of more advanced imaging modalities, such as MRI or CT. These are available at multiple locations in the Northern Virginia region, and if referral is warranted, we will gladly arrange this for you.
